Crew cab dust problem

This is the first crew I have owned, had lots of reg cabs over the years. My problem is when driving down a dirt or gravel road, there is quite a bit of dust coming into the cab,it's worse if I have my window down. This crew has a/c but nothing works anymore and I even plugged the vent on passenger side. I know on my wife's jeep patriot, and our old explorer they were really bad letting dust in if window was open.Just wondering if anyone else has run across this problem too?? I have tried running the heater a/c fan as well, but don't seem to help. I have put lots of weatherstripping on the door seals & no luck..Any of my other trucks have never been an issue with dust this bad.
