Nice AMT Find
Guess this is a start of a new hobby the wife won't like. I have a love for all things 67-72 Chevy/GMC, some older and some newer too. Seen a thread with a few AMT's on it, and it got me to searching. Found something with in a reasonable price that I just had to have. This is my first one and not my last. Picked it up of Ebay for $34.99, little over $40 with shipping.
Anyone know where I can get some of these at a good price, let me know. Old production or new. Need to make a replica of my 69 GMC.

Re: Nice AMT Find
That's a good one and for some reason prices hang at $40 on those. It's about 20 years old (1990) and as far as I know is the second issue of that model with none to follow. It's the only shortbed produced. I have several to use as donors for other shortbed model builds.
What else have you collected? This is your thread, show use what you have so far. There are many here who eat upon this stuff, just like you.

Re: Nice AMT Find
From research, I have found that this models production ended little over 22 years ago. Not sure the beginning though. And all the other ones I have seen for sale have been at $59.
This is actually the first of my collection, the start. You have to start somewhere, although I do have a Cole Trickle Mellow Yellow car in a case that I have been holding on to since I was a kid. Knowing nothing then, it has a little wear and tear but still looks good. I think mostly on the plastic casing though. Nothing a little lens polish won't take care of. If you know any good places to find these online, let me know. Or if you have a few extra you might want to part with, let me know. It is a start of a new hobby and collection, which is based off my obsession.

Re: Nice AMT Find
IIRC it had a custom grill with 2 fog lamps inset.
Also had a big block w/ 3 2's. Mine did. Maybe I added that? Loved that model. Painted mine white.
