Talking Hey Insane68 Or Lotik

HEY!
HOW DID YOU GUYS MOUNT THE BEDS ON YOUR TRUCKS.....I KNOW YOU GUYS HAD TO CUT SOME OF THE BED OUT FOR YOUR SUSPENSION.... BUT COULD YOU HELP ME OUT A LITTLE. DID YOU JUST PUT A PIECE OF SQUARE TUBING ON THE ORIGINAL STANDS OR DID YOU GO ALL THE WAY ACROSS WITH ONE PIECE IN THE FRONT ONE IN REAR?
THANKS

I just used a piece of 1.5" square tubing. I did not run it accross, but that sure would'nt hurt anything even add some bed support.

I don't think additional bed support for you guys is needed. From the looks of your projects, you won't be heading to the sand and gravel pit anytime soon!

I used 1 1/2" square tubing across the front and fabricated L brackets for the back.

Talking THANKS!!!

THANKS FOR ALL OF THE INPUT! I APPRECIATE IT. ME AND A BUDDY GOT THE BED MOUNTED LAST NIGHT. I STARTED MEASURING AND I NEEDED A LITTLE MORE THAN 1 1/2" SO I GOT SOME 1 3/4" SQUARE TUBING (54" LONG FOR FRONT AND 48" FOR BACK), DRILLED HOLES AND WELDED BOLTS TO LINE UP W/ ORIGINAL FRAME MOUNTS THEN WELDED SQUARE TUBING TO BOTTOM OF THE BED CROSS MEMBERS. (VERY FRONT CROSSMEMBER AND SECOND ONE FROM THE BACK) THE MIDDLE OF THE BED IS RESTING ON THE FRAME SO THAT WAS FINE.
TUBING IS WELDED TO BED WITH BOLTS STICKING OUT TO BOLT TO FRAME... MAKING IT EASY TO TAKE BED OFF LATER. STILL VERY STURDY TOO! THANKS AGAIN. MAYBE THIS WILL HELP OTHERS TOO!

I WILL TRY AND POST PICTURES TOMORROW!
