That's not an 18/20 combo. It's an 18/22 combo. Trust me.

I have 18x8 w/5.25 backspace TT 2's on front & 255/45/18" Dunlops. The front a-arm does require slight trimming (just a little more than what was already trimmed for the drop spindles). With this size, the front looks like the offset of a stock 7" corvette/monte carlo ralley wheel, only it adds 1" to the inside.

Out back, 20x10 w/6" backspace & 295/40/20's & this adds 2" to the width/offset of a stock corvette or truck 8" ralley. My bed was tubbed for big mickeys long ago so they fit w/o issue, but I also installed this combo on my 68 beater w/stock disc upgrade & uncut front a-arms & then just removed the stock rear tubs (the wood was already gone) & drove part of the the 01 power tour w/o any problems.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Im sure one of these guys should have some pictures of the Circus Wagon I think it was called. It was done by Jim Aust and Sport Truck and had 18's up front with 20's out back. The Artical said he had 4.5" front and rear backspacing and that truck could tuck them nice with the bags dumped. Maybe somebody can post him a pic of it.

Sorry, the only pics I have are just some 35mm & for some reason my scanner won't copy them.

I'm using the wheels on my 74 for now & will get some pics this week after I finish lowering it. My wheels also tucked deeper than Jim Austs 'circus wagon'. Using his backspace measurements would cause interference on the outside of my fenders, & I can't stand tires rubbing when there's an alternative.
