Front sway bar delete?

Who has removed/deleted your front anti sway bar?

I need to replace my sway bar bushings on my '81 and was wondering If anyone just removed the whole thing?

I have 4" superlift springs. Thought I saw a quick disconect kit somewhere while surfing

You don't need it, it's just tricky if you have to turn quick or take a turn little to fast. I did it to a couple trucks. Will be fine while you replace the bushings.

Re: Front sway bar delete?

I just put the ORD links on my K30 and freshened up the front springs this past month and it rides much nicer now. I have about 5"of lift. the sway bar limits the suspension movement and beats the crap out of your bushings after you lift it, just having those links allows the suspension to move as it needs and the sway bar can still do its job.
I will probably replace the release pin they give you with a bolt/nut in the future as I don't plan on disconnecting it, the pin and lock clip will probably start deteriating and come apart after the first winter anyway (this truck is my daily driver).
You definitely don't want to eliminate it completely unless you were going to do off road only.
Try out the links, I think you will like it.
