tranny cross member?
68 c10 has a straight 6 and a for speed manual right now. I'll be swapping to a lt1 4l60e.
The question is will the same cross member work for both transmissions or do i need to find something else. The lt1 is coming from a road master Hearse. Haven't had a chance to look at then side by side to see what the differences would be. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: tranny cross member?
you will have to change motor stands to v-8 stands. as far as the trans, the manual trans crossmember will have to come out and be replaced with a auto trans crossmember.

Re: tranny cross member?
Just like has been said, V-8 stands and an auto cross member. You can buy one from a TH350 or 400, but you will have to drill the frame to mount it. Buy on from a vendor, like gmcpauls.com who has a cross member for descent price that works for our trucks and newer transmissions.
If you have any questions about the install of a LT1 into your truck, feel free to ask as I have one in mine. Can't help you on the electronics side, didn't have any of that so I went carburated. What make and model did your LT1 come out of? I might be able to give a few pointer.
