Question 1" and 3" drop question

I've got a 1970 1/2 ton stepside.

I have already purchased a front disc conversion from ECE (stock height spindles) and also 1" front drop springs and 3" rear drop springs. The shocks were grey kybs in the front (drop?) and white kybs (stock?) for the rear. Am I missing anything else before I begin? These pieces will all work together right? I am pretty sure I don't need drop spindles for 1" drop for the front, right? Thanks!

Re: 1" and 3" drop question

Ok so.. I got the old rear shocks/springs out and at the top of the rear springs, the retaining cup was rusted out and some of the panel that the cup attaches to is also rusted. Can this part be replaced or re-welded in? What have yall done when faced with this problem?

Yes, you'll want to replace that. Find a junk frame and cut out what you need from that.

I hate those kinds of surprises.

Re: 1" and 3" drop question

Thanks. Im thinking of trying to weld some plates in that are similar in size/shape and hopefully replace the crossmember where the springs attach also. ugh
