Mounting clutch master cylinder on frame

I have a 5ML60 (NV3500) transmission I am putting in my '49. With this transmission I need to run a hydraulic clutch. My goal is run a clean firewall with nothing on it, so the master cylinder I would like to run on the frame.

The truck frame and suspension is stock. I do have the CPP Disc Brake kit on it with the brake master cylinder being mounted on the frame. So space is a little tight.

I saw this over at Custom Classic Truck and was thinking I could re-create this setup for my '49 Chevy.

How else have others handled a clutch master cylinder reservoir? Do you guys all run them on the firewall if anything?

Re: Mounting clutch master cylinder on frame

I haven't had the need yet but that looks like it or something similar would fill the bill.

Re: Mounting clutch master cylinder on frame

Two of the fleet of AD's are standard clutch cars and i am using the stock peddel assembly and cast iron bell housings, the 55 has a Tremec TKO and the "strech" has a Saginaw 4 speed.
I wanted to keep the firewall clean as I filled all the holes

Where did you mount the hydraulic clutch reservoir and master cylinder?
