Re: spray glow and macco picts
macco shops are independently owned and operated, so results will vary greatly.

Re: spray glow and macco picts
Sorry, no pics, but back around 1990 I had a 74 c-10 that I got a Macco paint job on.
I did all the body work, then took it to them. I was real happy with it. And it was the cheapest paint job that they offered. I kept the truck for several years and it held up well. But, I kept it waxed. One word of advice it you go that route; sand the whole truck making sure to get close to chrome and get into any creases or body lines. I have noticed on some of the older cheapo jobs that it looks like they don't hand sand at all, only air sand what they can.

Re: spray glow and macco picts
This is what I started out with and what I ended up with. 1996 Dodge ram that I used to take great care of. Washing once a week, waxes once or twice a year, stuff like that. I was a little ocd about it because it was black. Well, about 5-6 years after I bought it, I noticed that all the trucks of these years (1995-1997) had paint problems. Mine took a little longer because of how I took care of it I think. Maybe it was just luck. But, it was inevitable. Mine was $719 in 2007 and that included taking the hood and top down to bare metal. I did do some light sanding before I took it in. I did this because i didn't know what to expect. I hadn't ever had a car painted before. With the horror stories that I'd heard about maaco, I figured a little extra sanding wouldn't hurt. I was thinking that they'd tape the headlights and windows and go to town. I was wrong. They did an awesome job. Honestly could not be happier. Still looks good to this day and I only wash it about once a month and haven't waxed it since it got painted. They didn't do the door jambs and stuff. That will make the price go up. It's not a $10,000 paint job. But I wasn't expecting one either. All maaco's are different. I would look at examples of the work from your specific maaco. Some are not so good. I will definately use the one in Redding again as long as the same guy owns it.
