Yup, loosen the bolts on the hinge and you will figure it out pretty quick. There is actually quite a bit of adjustment in the hinge mounts.

Cool Re: Help please! Door adjustment

U also need to adjust the door latch side also. These can keep the door from shutting all the way also. I just did my 71 drivers side door and now it shuts darn near perfect. It took me a while but I got it. A little adjustment does a lot. I also added a new claw to the door side.Top picture is just to show the part.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

It depends on what adj. you need all the above is correct hopefully this is all you need. The bolts that are on the inner part of hinge are a ***** a wrench that is shaped like a U can help alot, but it is no cake walk especially if you have fresh paint.

The fender is off so the bolts are easy to reach.

I need to take a picture of the manual that shows the proper alignment of the strickers and latch for you. I'm off tomorrow night so I may try and get it. I did some touching up on my drivers door today also.

Re: Help please! Door adjustment

The "cab" end of the hinges will adjust the door up & down..and front to back.....the "door" end of the hinge adjust door in & out...I always start with cab end and get door "square" in the opening.....then adjust Door end of hinges to get back edge of door flush with cab and gapped right at windshield post..takes patience!!!....jim

No...the cab end of hinge will adjust to allow door backwards....the slots on that end of hinge are elongated to allow for that...the capsulated nuts in the cab pillar will slide to allow for the up and down movement....unless the truck had been severely wrecked U should have all the adjustment U need in hinges.....jim

very small adjustments can make a lot of difference to a pro body man this can be the most frustrating thing you ever do.
