Well thats gotta suck, 5.7 with a small issue...
5.7 well somethings not right with this picture, its not a GM but I thought you guys might get a kick out of this...

Well more than one.. customers truck, he seemed to think it had a pretty loud knock so he shut it off. Well that was quick thinking!! too bad it was 3 pistons and 4 holes in the block too late.

Nope i found the piston it's on top of the block so i guess it's missing the rod it was attached to.

Truck was charged 6 psi, had a cold knock issue he ignored. He Also felt that filling up with 87 was fine.

So, of the 3 pistons that are left in the pic, which one is oriented correctly in the bore? None match!
With those squirrelly piston reverse domes, that's gotta be one of the new so-called hemi's... Wives and engines...when either starts making strange noises, it's time to sit up and pay attention if you know what's good for you!!! |

Is that a Toyota 5.7? I don't see anywhere for the push rods to come through so it looks like an OHC engine. The shape of the dish in the pistons looks like it's a 32 valve motor.
