Air Conditioner Compressor Location - 5.3 in a 55 2nd Series

I would like to get some ideas on what others have done to mount the air conditioner compressor on a 5.3 (LS-1) conversion. I am installing the engine in a 55 2nd series. The engine is from an 04 Tahoe. I'm using the drivers side power steering and alternator mounting from the Tahoe. The compressor hits the motor mounts on the pass side. Pictures or recommendations on mounting or where I can find mounting brackets would be great.

Thanks.

I got my brackets from these guys. I'm not at the point of mounting them yet but they seem nice enough. It does necessitate using a Sanden compressor.

I have an compressor mount in the parts section. Check out the link posted to see if it fits.

I made mine but it was trial and error. It's basically an imitation of the kwik bracket. If you can't make it, theirs is actually a good deal.

Is there a modification or system I can use on the LS engine where I don't need to install the air conditioner compressor at this time and can install it later? I can use the money other places right now.

Last I looked the compressor has it's own belt and tensioner. Just take it off and run the big belt only. Then you can add a sanden bracket and longer belt later.

I also used the Kwik bracket on my 5.3. I put a 5.3 in a 56 sedan and now finishing a 5.3 in my 59 truck. Same motor and bracket but I could only find a pic of the car. It's one long serpentine belt so you might have to get the compressor and bracket taken care of now? Not sure but it will make it easier in the long run.
