WA New Product: 72 Wood Door Panels Inserts - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I didn't see these coming, but they are done and reportedly "In Stock".
Finally-correct aluminum door panel inserts for 72 Cheyennes & Supers. Made of aluminum like originals. This should eliminate the sky rocketing prices on the few old stock pairs left. Yes, I waited too long to and will not get much for the couple I have saved.
They should sell for about $250 + S/H.
If a couple guys (two or more) want to buy these, now, I will order some and sell them on here for $200pr + $20 to repack and ship to you. No warranty, no returns, no excuses. You get them first and that may be good or not, but you will save a little $$$ and learn the quality of them up close & personal.
Just post on here if you are in, prepay if there is any interest and I will make an order.

knew i should have sold my perfect stockers last week....

Aside from the personal impact, glad to hear these will be re-produced. I searched long and hard for a good set of restored ones, then, of course, bought a '71...

According to the pic these have a wood grain overlay with a painted silver strip around the edge. Is this correct? They look very nice but are they the same as original?

I don't know. Do you want to buy a set and find out? No one else is ever going to do this tooling again, so this will be the best we will ever get!

I would take the chance if I didn't already have a new pair!!

They look very nice as I said and good to see somebody making them at least close to original if not the same!!!

A couple weeks after the order goes in. I'd wait a week to see how many people want them---then send order to importer (No they are not made in USA---is anything?).

haven't I bought very nice repos in past of this part? Thought we still do not have 72 molded door panels yet but wood grain inserts were readily avail. Maybe my memory is bad.

The wood panels have been gone for years...so, the current "rare" price has been about $500 pr.

I wish i didn't already buy a pair of plastic ones from Classic Chevrolet Parts in Oklahoma City for 119.00. These plastic ones look good but they don't have the silver line around the outside edge. Maybe I try and be nice to the wife and she will let me buy these Aluminum ones.....
