Coolant question

Few days ago drained the cooling system on my 98 c2500 truck.Coolant was dirty, flushed the system with a garden hose and installed a new t-stat.Filled it with prestone 50/50 coolant.Friend of mine was telling me i should have used the dex-cool coolant. But on the prestone can it says it can be used with any color coolant. My question is can i leave this coolant in the system or drain it and use the premixed dex-cool coolant? thank you for reading my post.
