blue bus rebuild and sas
dont post here much but figure i would post up my thread. have a 95 tahoe 4wd 350 ebay ss headers cb extreme exhaust. did a lot of things to it. all led interior lights alpine headunit hids 4 high cab lights led marker light led tag lights 4 corner mod diesel bumper with fog lights grill guard with lights 3inch body lift 2inch blocks swaped in truck torsion bars and 35s on 15x10s.
sometime in july comming home from work i noticed the truck wouldnt shift anymore i kept on truckin since i was about a mile from home. got there and trans had spit out fluid from the vent tube all the way back on the diff and everywhere. trans slipped real bad now and determind id take it off the road. been sittin at work since july lol. took the pan off and was full of mud and metal particles -_- so started to pull it.. it sat more then i put a trans temp gauge and sat some more. have to replace rear main before i put trans in. plan to pick up gm reman tomorrow after work adn try and get it back together by end of week. also been collecting sas parts. got a 10b for free. have a 91 241 t case for it too, 52" springs and flat tops. have ball joint on way and need to get knuckle machined still and all brake and steering parts. plan to use sky 2.5 hanger kit and add some gussets and plates to make the front hanger bolt on. not sure if im going to keep the 10b or use a hp danaa 44 so i wont be swapin the cases just yet. planning on around 8" of lift with my 35s. took of the body lift too and traded it for the wheel thats i have on it now. will post pictures of all the progress tomorrow. it has been slow but once the trans is in progress will increase. wont tear it down till i have most parts as i want to drive it. its been too long since i have! |

Re: blue bus rebuild and sas
switching to a hp dana 44 now and selling the p drop 241. swapin the dana 44 to 6 lug and keepin the 8 lug parts for later on down the road. taking the 4.10s from the 10b front and putting them in the rear to match the 4.10s in the ford axle.
