Tony, did you tell Mike he was too late on the bucket seats you sold me Tuesday. But if he really wants them, I did sell the truck (without the seats)I was going to put them in.

Cool deal. Some friends of mine were on the show (S4, Ep4 "The Mad Catter"). They said Mike was a great guy. Frankie not so much - lol

Re: Ran into Mike from American Pickers

How cool is that ?? .. I like him a lot. If he tried to beat people out of stuff, then no.. but it's like Rick on Pawn Stars. If someone has something and just doesn't know what its really worth he will pay a fair price for it. Pretty cool dude.

I always tell my wife that if I run into those guys out picking in the boonies, I'm going to hold them up for all the cash they seemingly haul around with them. I'm just joking of course...

They surely have some dough with them. My friends who were on the show said the Pickers have a couple trucks which travel around with them, including one with satellite internet access. Before they put a bid on his Alice in Wonderland cat someone combed the web first.

Re: Ran into Mike from American Pickers

Hey Tony, did he offer you $300 for the column along with the "Hey,I gotta make a buck off this" story? Did he haggle on his tab at the bar?

That's pretty cool. I know the show is all staged anyway,so you can't judge those guys by how they are on it. They're people, too.

ps: Hey Cleszkie, I'd watch holding those guys up. You might walk away with less than you started and owing them!! (I doubt the cash exchanges hands then and there anyway...if they actually even buy the stuff)
