Re: I know this may be stupid by i think im addicted!

I'll assume the new Torq Thrusts, grille, emblems, mirros and headlights weren't on it under the hay? Lol. So add the cost of those to the "cost" of the trade.

My only question is what is the Tahoe's current market value in your area? I'm assuming not all that much.

Out here in SoCal, the five window '50 - IF its all there, running and relatively solid - is worth maybe $5,000 to as much as $7000

At your speed you will need something to work on next week!
It is proven I have E C disorder so if you ask me you can never have too many AD trucks.
The next one you can change a few things that you did not do on the first one and you will like even more when it is finished.
Good point on what the Tahoe will be worth in 5 years and the worth of your AD's in 5 years

not that it matters too much but i think it's a 1951. Early '51 had the "3100" under the "chevrolet" and are the 1st year with vent windows and the only year with vent windows & turn down handles.
Later in the year they dropped the "3100" and bed boards changed. Check your vin plate, 1950 will have "hp" in the vin, 1951 will have "jp".
Not trying to be a know it all but thought you may want to check.
It's bad ass for sure and looks like a great deal. Your other one is looking great also!! If you ever want to sell one send me a note.....

Re: I know this may be stupid by i think im addicted!

Yea i hear what your saying, it does have an " HP" in the vin and on the title, and i know its kind of strange on the vent windows, but its a late 1950, it even has 2 etched in markings under the hood that says ( oct. 1950 ) on the firewall. thats what sealed the deal for me.... Im thinking it was a transition faze.
