couple 4x4 fab. questions..

Trying to piece together a new truck and have a couple questions...

Front axle.. What is the proper angle for the shackle at ride height? Angled back or forwards...

And, does it matter if the shackle is on the front of the leaf? Trying to keep it as low as possible so I'm thinking I can gain an inch or more by having the shackle in the front..

Thanks.

Re: couple 4x4 fab. questions..

Not quite sure what your trying to do here, but... The stock springs in the front are negative arch and the shackle is angled back. Lift spring shackles are angled towards the front. I've never seen one with the shackle in the front of the spring, but Scouts and Jeeps do it that way, so it must be ok.
You could also do a slider instead of a shackle to keep the height down.

Re: couple 4x4 fab. questions..

Full size blazer drivetrain into a s10 blazer.. Bush/hunting rig.. But would rather not lift it a bunch to make it work.. Low CG build..
