just another old truck someone else beat up, abused, hacked and didnt respect... my turn to turn it into a beat up old truck into a beat up and reliable pleasure to drive...

them- "when you gonna put an exhaust on that thing?"

me- "what do you mean? The exhaust comes all the way to the bumber and sounds great!"

them- "straight pipes isnt an exhaust man..."

me- "meh... who needs a fancy muffler when you've got straight pipes? its got a cat, doesnt resonate, and I like how it sounds, and to be perfectly honest, it makes me behave myself when I'm out and about!"

Re: spid info

GM built these trucks and grouped together several items in a package that they called a value package, but it meant that you got stuff you may not want in order to get something that you did want.

The dealerships would order vehicles to stock the lot and those packages made it easier for them to check a couple of boxes and the trucks would be built with stuff that meant more money for the dealer when it sold.

My '96 GMC is a sportside, short wheelbase, regular cab. It is white, with a dark red interior. It has a v-6, automatic, power windows, locks, tilt, cruise, etc. It also had the aluminum wheels and RWL tires. Bottom line, it was a fairly-well equipped pickup that was intended to make it easy for the dealer to order and still appeal to a prospective buyer. BTW, compnine data said my truck was one of four that were identical to it that year.....meaning that in '96, there were a total of four trucks that were identical to mine in every way, meaning the SPID sheets on the glove box door only had the different VIN to make them different.

Re: spid info

There are definitely a couple things I would have ordered differently, but mainly just the wood grain everywhere.
