Bumper Cover Part # Needed
Tried to paint my upper bumper cover to match my body color a few years ago on my 04 Z71. It was black and textured, thought I did a good job cleaning and prepping with the correct products but now it chipping off.
At the time I was not aware of a "Smooth" style upper cover. I have spotted this smooth cover on 2005 trucks and some Avalanche's. Anyone have the GM part number for the smooth style? Here is a picture of what I was trying to do on my truck. Desert |

Re: Bumper Cover Part # Needed
Sorry I don't have a part number for you but advise for anyone wanting to match parts to something you see. If you can get the last 8 digits of the VIN, the parts guys can figure it out. They can't seem to find anything without that these days. I lost my local guy that was willing to dig into the computer & find stuff based on the option codes so I'm stuck for parts now too.
BTW, I bet you're looking for a LT model since they were usually painted. Scour the used lots. Your truck will look nice done like the pic - Good Luck!
