Help ! Three on the tree question.

So Just wondering who out here has a three on the tree and if they can help me out. I am just wondering what the measurement is that sticks out bond were you hook it to the column.

Assuming "bond" means beyond ... it varies.

I can get you the measurement of my 68 GMC if you let me know exactly where you want me to measure from. The column mounts to the firewall and also under the dash inside the cab.

my bad on the spelling, yes it would be under the hood. Just wondering where on the shift linkage I should tighten it to the column.

Here's a pic of what mine looks like in front. The painted part sticks out app 5" from the firewall.
