I bought this car about a year ago and have been gathering parts for it.
These first pics of the car is exactly how I bought it.
The chassis has been blasted and painted, new front suspension, disc brakes, power steering, new radiator, engine, trans, gas tank, fuel lines, brake lines, firewall painted, etc...

I sold the engine and trans to a another member ( t-town dave ) and am in the process of building a 383 which should make 500 h.p. and 500 tq. mated to a tremec tko 600 5-speed trans.

The body of this car is pretty much rust free with the exception of a new trunk pan that the p.o. had installed.

My plans for the car is to make it old school with satin black paint, red tuck and roll ultra leather interior, I am going to flake part of the dash and the inside garnish mouldings, I am also going to paint the engine bright red with flake, I am leaving the cadillac air cleaner wich will have old school pinstripe and gold leaf.

The body and firewall will get pinstriped as well.

I have picked up quite a few parts for this car which include a complete moser 12 bolt rear end with ford ends, big bearings, eaton posi unit, 3.55 richmond gears and disc brakes.
Nomad back bumper, vintage air, new side trim, etc..

I got my rearend back yesterday. Moser 12 bolt housing with ford big bearing ends ( no c clips ) bolt in moser axles, eaton posi unit, richmond 3.55 gears, moser 1350 yoke, moser cover. I still need to install the disc brake kit.

Sick ride! My buddy has a 210 also with a 427 small block, thing is crazy fast. I noticed there is not alot of fullsize car love on this board too. Oh well can't please everybody. Did you sell the air cleaner with the old motor?

Good man. Those air cleaners are one the best ever made in my opinion. Do you know if it's an original 50's or a new repop?

Mine is a repop.. My buddy has a couple of original ones that he won't part with..

This same buddy is a hoarder.. He has some unbelievable rare stuff laying around. I will see if I can get some pics

I lowered it a LIL bit and put a set of 18" & 20" coys on it and left it alone for now.

I still want to air ride it one of these days, for now I am leaving it alone.

Very nice 55. You got to love them I have one myself. I would post a pic of it but this is your thread. If you would like to see mines its posted on my truck's build page post #6. I love trifives and it looks like you have a very nice one.

The engine is getting built now and I still need to buy the trans. Hopefully I will have it done sometime next summer.
