Re: 1st Anniversary Card
I was married before and my then wife would b1tch if I spent $20 on something for my Camaros. I sold a perfect 69, Hugger Orange / white California car just to prove to her that my life and the house, etc. meant more to me than any car. We sold the car to buy a new house. .. and make a new start. I had that car for 17 years. World of Wheels winner, etc.
Worst thing I have ever done. She sopped that money up like gravy on a buscuit. she cared nothing about the car, she just didn't want me to have anything other than what she had control over. That's all .. March 2008, she told me she wanted out (?) Huh ? Ok .. My point is, it is so nice to know your wife is behind you and what's important to you. You could easily be spending money on beer and hookers, but no .. you choose to spend it on a car you can build, drive around for a while then sell if needed. I work hard man.. I'm sure you do too. It's just cool to know your wife (and mine) understands.

Re: 1st Anniversary Card
Very cool! My wife spent two days sanding the interior cab of my 72, including the ceiling. I stripped the paint to steel on the exterior but was only going to sand the interior, anyway when she was done I used my compressor to blow out the dust and all the paint she spent two days sanding litterally blew off in sheets leaving only the original paint, she jumped back in the cab and started all over without a single complaint.

Re: 1st Anniversary Card
Thats awesome! Sometimes there is a reason we find the right person... either to be unhappy for 20yrs and appreciate the ones we find later in life or luck out and get them from the start. No matter what, it sure is nice to find that someone. Congrats on the wife.

Re: 1st Anniversary Card
My wife won't let me sell my '69. That's a reversal from the stance over the past several years. All it took was for our youngest son to say that he wants the two of us (him and me) to work together on it.
My first two wives were one person. She didn't have anything to say that mattered about my vehicles, as long as she had one to drive. My last wife (the one I have now) doesn't like buying tires, batteries, shocks, etc. She doesn't want to become stranded because her car broke down, so she accepts that it has to be repaired....but she reserves the right to fuss about having to pay for it. So, my last wife is the one I've had for 31 years.....the last one I'll ever need.

Re: 1st Anniversary Card
Too Cool,
Now might be a good time to think about getting one for her. Maybe a Blazer or an Elky. His and Hers can be a lot of fun.

Re: 1st Anniversary Card
My fiance goes with me on trips to the junkyard and is actually interested in learning about how to fix these old things and learning to use the tools. Right now we're restoring an old chair her grandmother used to have and an ice chest, but she wants to get a '40s sedan to drive around and I told her I'd help her buy it if she helps me fix it. I couldn't be happier

Re: 1st Anniversary Card
Cool car, and very thoughtful. You have a keeper!
My birthday was earlier this month and my honey got me a card with a 68 Chev truck on it. I was floored...We've been together for over 26 years and she tolerates my obsession with cars and trucks lol ... But for her to have even recognized that style of truck was amazing in my eyes.
