Need help pricing parts

I am new to this Forum and really joined to help out the Family of a great friend of mine who passed away in May leaving 2 unfinished Chevy Truck projects ( 67 & 70 ) and a BUNCH of extra body parts.

Since I have been asked and accepted to help organize the sale of the parts not needed and coordinate the completion of one of the Trucks, I'll be making a few posts, some asking about the assembly of a 1970 3/4 T Long Bed ( Beautiful Truck !!! ) and the value of a '67 w/ Chopped Top and also different parts that are extras.

The Truck that will be completed and kept by His Daughter is a 1970 3/4 T Camper Special that he had done a beautiful job getting it to where it is. It is currently a running / rolling Chassis w/ an alum headed 489 BBC, A/C, PS, & PB. All hard polished stainless steel lines throughout. Just need to get the Body finished & painted ( He was a bada** painter !!! ) and then the Body & Interior assembled.

The extra parts for it are all in what I consider real good shape, there was just something about them that he didnt like, so he replaced them ... some he has 3-4 of. I am looking for is High / Low Ballpark figures since the parts arent in hand to check out.

I will get and post pictures if it helps out.

I need estimates on the value of:
1970

Outer Bed Sides
Fenders
Hoods
Grills
Front Bumper
Core Support

His Daughter is selling the 1967 Short Bed that He Chopped the top on approx. 3-4" ( great job !!! ). And I have no idea what it is worth.

The Body work on the Cab is 99.9999 % finished, he put new Corners in it, built a Header Back Stainless Steel Exhaust system that includes SS copy's of Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers. Trick polished SS fuel lines w/ Russel Filter and BG on/off valve. Fuel cell mounted in the rear. Frame has been C - Notched for lowering and painted in Black Enamel. This Truck is almost ready for paint and mostly complete, it is missing the door glass, windsheild and rear window. Most everything else is included, just not installed. Some of this going by Memory and its been a few years since I had checked out the Truck .. if any info is incorrect, I will add the correct info.

Pictures can be provided.

Parts for Sale that I need the same ballpark estimates on are:

1967

Doors w/ Glass
Door Glass
Hood
Tailgate
Windsheild
Back Window
Factory Mirrors
Front & Rear Bumpers
Hood Hinges w/ Springs
6 Lug Rally type Wheels w/ Caps and Rings

There are also some BBC and SBC parts available, I only got to see a small part of the stuff today.

If anyone here is interested in any parts, I will do all I can to get you the pictures & information you want.

TIA !!!!

Duane

Re: Need help pricing parts

Sorry to hear about your friend but welcome to the best site on the web.

The problem with large items is they are hard to ship so you either sell them locally which can effect the price depending on where live and who needs them. Then if you can ship the value is effected by the high shipping cost. I will give you what I have sold items for in my area. All the prices also vary with true condition (rust, dents, ect.)

1970

Outer Bed Sides I am not sure
Fenders $50 to $100
Hoods $50 to $75
Grills $50 to $100 + depending on condition
Front Bumper $25 to $50
Core Support $75 to $125

1967

Doors w/ Glass $50 to $150
Door Glass ?
Hood $50 to $150
Tailgate $50 to $400
Windsheild Never had a good one to sell
Back Window $10 to $20
Factory Mirrors ?
Front & Rear Bumpers $25 to $50
Hood Hinges w/ Springs $25 to $50
6 Lug Rally type Wheels w/ Caps and Rings ?

Hope this helps but remember condition is everything.

Re: Need help pricing parts

You might want to spend a little more attention on selling the 1967 parts...some are one year only and/or not re-manned. Outside door handles, wing windows, dash knobs, doors, igniton bezels, fenders and bedsides (marker lights), etc

BTW---are you sure that's a '67 hood? Side view would help.
1967-68 hoods go for a premium compared with '69 & up.

Good luck and welcome to the forum!

I've been informed that it is a '71 - '72 Hood.

It was seperate from the 70 parts so I " assumed " it was for the '67.

I was supposed to go over there tonight to look at the rest of the parts and get pictures ... now thats been put off until this weekend.

Thanks for your help !!!
