Re: Teaser
Nice score! Looks like the trans/transfer case is gone. Did it come with it?
And, what's the "other one?"

Re: Teaser
...and the rest of the parts to finish the job. This is actually the real cab from the napco truck. It is a 58 long bed. The 59 blue cab and bed actually go on the short bed frame that i brought home today. Included was a 350/350 combo that was allegedly from a 74 vette. i don't get too caught up in things like that until i verify serial numbers though. anyways, there are a ton of parts that go with it, pretty much everything to have a complete truck which includes 7 doors!

Re: Teaser
Wow! a 7 door truck <grin> Nice score. I love the 4-eye trucks. Should have 4 good doors out of the 7?

Re: Teaser
Was just looking at Suburbans on Denver CL yesterday. No snow in those pictures.
Trans is SM420. Look for date codes to determine year. I wonder if that engine ever ran with those valve covers and intake. I don't see a breather for fresh air. The casting marks on the heads indicate low performance heads from mid '70s. Vette heads from those years have a triangle shaped casting mark. You can get the casting numbers and look around the 'net for confirmation. Short block can still be 'Vette though and if so would have 4 bolt mains. Check casting nos. I think a 7 door truck would be cool. Anything big enough to require two parking spots at the grocery store is obnoxious enough to be fun. |
