Cool idea for your hood emblem

The plastic on mine was cracked, so I removed the entire emblem, polished the paint on the hood underneath, and then reinstalled without the plastic piece. Total cost= $0

I kinda like how the color of the hood shows through, and not having that much plastic on the hood. I'll try it for a while, and see if it grows on me.

Re: Cool idea for your hood emblem

Here is a thread from a little while back where a guy had the same problem with his and came up with a great solution. If you get tired of your fix, maybe you can try out there fix.

Looks good. Is the emblem glued or bolted on?

Yeah, it's bolted like everything else on these trucks lol. There are two bolts, and they can be accessed with a long socket wrench with an angle joint. The one on the left is really easy. The one on the right kinda needs a flashlight and some patience, but it isn't too bad
