Cig lighter not wired

Looks like the wire was removed by the po. I'd like to get it working again. How do I do that?

Re: Cig lighter not wired

Its just a wire (orange??) that runs to the fuse block. Look in the catalogs for a lighter assembly to see it. Should be able to buy just a replacement harness for it to plug and play. But the lighter itself (socket or element) may not be functional. Did you get the manuals for the truck yet? Specifically the Chasssis Service Manual, Chassis Overhaul Manual and a Owners Handbook.

Thanks. I've held off on buying books, because I prefer digital that I can view on my iPad or phone. Are there any electronic manual options like that?

Re: Cig lighter not wired

There are CD versions as PDFs if it is possible to upload it to your phone IDK. Paper owners handbook though needs to be with the truck.
