New Rendering/Design Software
After 2.5 years of research and development today is a very exciting day! I can proudly say that the single version of the Hok Digital Paintbooth 3D is available! This is the all new redesigned software featuring ground breaking 3D technology! I want to thank all my family and friends for the support over the last few years as I got to this point!

Re: New Rendering/Design Software
Amazing software! The only issue I see is that most of the body lines seem to be off? Are there any revisions for the 67-72 model coming out?

Re: New Rendering/Design Software
The price to me is cheap for an actual rendering.

Re: New Rendering/Design Software
Caveat: I've had this software less than an hour...
This software is 1000 times better than I could do with photoshop. But... Its been out a long time and the wheel selection is severely lacking. The paint selection is not bad but its missing a ton of hotrod flatz which is all i cared about. Looks like a bunch of glossy colors and metallics though. there's only 16 wheels billet spec, rushforth, savani, dayton, schott, stock, forgeline The wheels except for the stock option are for "lowriders". Theres nothing for 8 lug type guys. controlling the tire size is not intuitive. its not based on any tire numbers ive ever seen. 1-5 scale for height and width of 1-220. no way to specify tread. No tire manufacturers. I really wanted to put some 33" open country M/Ts on it cant figure out a way to turn off the trim on the tail gate. It rerenders the drawing any time you spin the truck which makes it slow. My PC was a 69 on the test they said to run on the website. I havent figured out how to make the Rust or pin stripe features work. some features that I understand would be a programming nightmare but would be nice: choice of different grills and bumpers. Ability to change the Bowtie color on the grill. Anyway so far I'm not completely disappointed with the software but theres no way Ill get the rendering to look like what I have in my head with the options available. Its fun to play with though and Ill toy around with the colors as you can get some sweet renderings. http://www.autowaretech.net/nextwheels/tradeunion.htm for wheels and tires this site is way better. |

I really want to thank you for posting you honest review and am glad that you are not completely disappointed with the sofware. Maybe with some more time on it you will be able to get results closer to what you are looking for. All images created with the software Also here is an image that i did early on in test to see if I could emulate a 4wd raised truck. I know it is not perfect but I believe that it gets the idea across. This is doable in your version as well. I am not trying to defend my software (as I believe everyone has a right to an opinion) but more of an explanation of why things are the way they are. Also with out feedback, how can I make it better. Thanks for you time in reading my ramblings. Carter |

Re: New Rendering/Design Software
JointTech, nope no hater at all. They were all valid thoughts that you had and I just wanted to give some reasoning behind why they were the way they are. These are all things that I myself thought about from a user stand point as well.
Also if you need help with anything concerning the software, please just let me know. Carter |

Re: New Rendering/Design Software
Carter -- one question, in the single version, can you change the environments or are you set to the one environment shown in your vehicle database?

Re: New Rendering/Design Software
it comes with about 6 different backgrounds. I didnt see a place to add my own but thats to be expected since I dont have a way to put in a 360 degree photo.
