No backup lights after b&m shifter install

I just realized my back up lights don't work. I had my mechanic install my hammer shifter. I'm thinking they forgot to hook up the back up light switch or something. Anyone kno how to go about checking this?

Re: No backup lights after b&m shifter install

Converting to floor shift will require a back up light switch down on the transmission linkage. The nuetral saftey switch is the reverse switch, if your not moving the collumn down to reverse then no lights will be lit in reverse.

Well it's as I suspected...they forgot to install the nss and backup light switch that can with the kit. They're still in the box...truck starts in all gears. Where is the nss on my truck and what wires do I connect to the b&m switches? My truck is a 74 with a th350
