Air Suspension
For those of you running an air suspension, did you go with hard lines or soft and if so where did you purchase them at? Issues with installing and or bending? Size lines? Any regrets or things you change?
I'm fixing to have to get line run on my truck and this is the first air suspension I've done. I've looked at a couple of builds so far but not a whole lot of info on air lines. One build ran stainless for his air lines. |

DOT plastic airline is easy to work with and lots of connectors are available for use with it. If it is good enough to go a million miles on a tractor trailer its good enough for my 66............Kieth

Thanks, I really didn't feel like bending line for an air setup. I know I can buy this stuff in rolls in multiple sizes. Looking at going with 3/8 right now as I'm not doing anything crazy.

I used DOT air line and press fittings with only a few leaks the first time (soapy water in a spray bottle, took about an hour to fix the leaks). I am doing hard line this time because I have nothing better to do.

Plastic here also. Use ptc (push to connect) fittings! Don't waste your time with compressions unless you want problems later... Plus every time you take your line out o the fitting with compressions you have to cut a chunk o line off and get a new sleeve.... Just sayin

i did mine in stainless steel tubing. probably not the most cost effecient but you will never have any problems with it at all.

Love the stainless but I've never bent that before and its been fifteen years since I've bent brake lines. Anyone got any good diagrams or where did you learn how to run stuff? First time and I'm trying to do it right! Thanks
