How do you think I made out?
So I bought this 01 2500hd crew cab long bed for 600 bucks off a electrical contracting company, the bed was really banged up and the back was cut up a little because they had a utility cap with rear doors on it and the cap was not ment to be on that truck. There was no tailgate and the the truck was really dirty, and the waterpump locked up........I got a bed and tailgate out of the boneyard, the bed had a couple little dents but for 300 bucks for the bed and tailgate and I'm planning on using it as a work truck so I thought it was good enough. And I put a new water pump, 2 belts, idler pully, air filter,battery and since I had the bed off I put a new fuel pump and fuel filter on it. All of that stuff ran me 550 buck plus the bed and the truck I got about 1500 bucks in it and I bought some new speakers and I had a nice cd player so I put that in as well. Here are some pics of the truck after I put the new bed on it and before I cleaned it up.

The new bed didnt have pin striping or the molding so i took the molding and the stripes of the cab and I took the wheel well moldings off also. The truck had the center seat upfront....the one that doest fold down so I took it out and built a sub box and a quick center console. I had some black vinal and I used some of the tan off the seat to cover it and I got to reuse the cub holder also. My uncle had a set of floor mats for it so he gave me them, and here are some pics of the inside and out after I buffed and cleaned it out....didnt get to take any pics outside in the sun since there is a hurricane blowing around.

The truck had a utility cap on it when i bought it, and today I sold it for 100 bucks so now its my 500 dollar truck.
