don't overlook 67 GMC 1/2 ton 2wd trucks with dana 44 rearends, i pulled one of my front lockers out of one . it's not a detroit locker but is a dana version and works great.

i wouldn't recommend locking it in on the street, there's no slippage to it, it's a very aggressive unit. i use mine mainly for hunting but most of the time it's dry surfaces, just steep and sometimes rocky. on ice and slushy snow they can be an adventure. on steep hills they have a tendancy to pull sideways if you start to spin the wheels.

If you go with the Dana 44 model just remember that there are 2 different locker cases - one for 3.73's and lower and the other case for 4.11's etc. May be more differences these are the only ones I know of. At last check NAPA could special order these from Dana. Hope this helps.
