roll bar question

have any of you guys every put a roll bar inside the cab of your truck or seen any others do it? Also I know this sounds a little off but was looking for some options on installing newer seat belts inside the cab rather than just lap belts I was looking to install some that come across the chest but still keep the bench seat.

thanks

Re: roll bar question

There were at one time roll cage kits to fit inside the cab (Smittybuilt comes to mind). Unlike a roll bar they are self standing. But, a really big but,is that unless it is tied to the frame it does not do much good unless it is made with real heavy wall tubing. So for a current street truck the easiest seatbelt setup will be a three piont conversion that uses existing shoulder harness attachment points in a modern manner. Using a seat with intergrated belts looks like a good idea but the floor attachments are not designed for the loads.
