west coast mirrors

I would like to get rid of my toy truck mirrors that i cant see out of, and install west coast jr mirrors. Im not sure if i like the look though, can random pple with the west coast style mirrors load me some pics to view and aid me in my decision. Thanks all.

almost, looking more for the bar that goes from top to bottom of window with mirror in middle. But thank you. Those look cool, but i dont want to drill holes in door, just use exsiting screw holes.

this is my take on the mirrors that you can't look over, the ones that have the bar that bolts on top and bottom of the door, there were installed on most pickups and big truck for years, but they hide things that are beside you, i have seen many times that you pull up to a stop sign and look both directions and start to pull out and a vehicle is now in view. i would ask you to look real close at the kind... nitrosport _ 5 showed you in his pic. just for safety reasons
or at least a low mount of some kind...if you put the jr. west coast on, set a while at the intersection before pulling out....look many times both ways....

There's a real simple solution to eliminating the blind spot found in all the millions of trucks that safely ran,and still run,these mirrors. Move your head forward and back to see what's behind them. If you drive like you have west coast mirrors they are perfectly safe.

We had a motor home with west coast mirrors for over ten years and I never had a problem with them, but like stated you have to drive like you have west coast mirrors.

It is a not a 67-72 Chevy truck, but here is a picture of my '77 beast with west coast mirrors.

The GMC shows the popular chrome aftermarket west coast mirrors. The Chevy shows the factory painted west coast mirrors.

Yes,and sometimes referred to as Sr. West Coasts (or West Coast Srs). And the second picture Shyguy showed (Blue '68 C/20 Stepside) has the RV Jrs,sometimes referred to as Jr. West Coasts. These are the only factory mirrors of this type offered. The RV Jrs were from prior years and ran through '68. The West Coasts ran through the square body style and at least til the 2007s

Well thanks guys for all the pics and posts. Its been awhile since I logged in, but I did find a set that are west coast jrs. Installed them and I love them. Truck is lifted 6 in and sits on 35s I can see everything from the sky to the ground. And with the addition of spot mirrors I can even see the rust on my doors to the people beside me... they even make a cool wistling noise in the wind, I know I'm driving an old truck. takes me back to the days I was a kid riding shotgun in my dads 64.

Awesome! That is exactly what I need for my truck. I can tell from the holes in the doors that these are the mirrors it came with iriginally, but someone has taken them off. If anybody has a set like this in white or even better silver, please let me know!

I still can´t understand how someone could take them off and throw them away!!!

I would definatly go with the originals if that matters. But to anyone who does not mind aftermarket who's looking I found mine from advanced auto parts. They are universal so they adjust to fit many makes and models. And are just over 20 bucks per mirror. The only thing I didn't care for was how far they have to be out up top just to fit. After seeing a 64 ford with west coast mirriors in closer to the door Ive decided to modify mine to bring the mirror in closer just to appease my personal taste. But if you look at a pic of my truck you can see them and be the judge for yourselves. But to get back to the point, if you can't find originals and want them now they bolt right up and if your doors are like mine the original holes are in the correct location for these mirrors.
