Where to get caster shims

Took the truck out of my street for the first time! Fun!!! Went and had the toe in set corectly and camber checked ok, I need to add 4 degree caster shims, who sells them? Steering seems to have play need to check box for adjustment next.

4 wheel drive shop. get the steel ones the alumnimim ones deteroate and cause electrolisis.

How did you determine what degree of shim to get? Did the alignment shop tell you? I ask because I'm swapping out my original axle to a dropped axle and when I pulled the old one off, there were shims on both sides. One was cracked and the other, well, just rotted away from YEARS of elemental assault. I can't wait to get our project out! Thanks and congrats!

With no shims i have 0 degee caster. Every thing I have read says that you need 4 to 6 degrees of caster when using power steering with the straight axle. I am going to try the 4 degree first because right now the "wander" is not outrageous. Found a set on ebay from Ca.

You can get them from napa I'm running 6 degree with a 3" drop axle.
