Help identifying what else I need for AC
Hey guys, when I purchased my Blazer the dealer told me the only thing I'd need to get the AC working was a compressor..the PO apparently removed it for some reason. I've consulted my shop manual and from looking at the pictures of the complete Four Seasons AC system it does appear the the compressor is all I'm missing. I'm hoping this is the case and that all the intact parts are in good working order!
Thanks in advance! |

dont see the front lines to the compressor, should replace the drier, and don't see the condenser either

Re: Help identifying what else I need for AC
Here is a picture showing the lines needed. The drier is mounted on the outside of the radiator support on the passenger's side.

Re: Help identifying what else I need for AC
Don't see the vacume valve for the hot water line either. If the system has been open for any amount of time pull a very long and strong vacume on the system when it's all back together.
Cheap insurance is buy a new drier and I would think real hard on swapping it out for a 134-A system condensor and be a lot happier with it in the long run. The cost will be about the same either way. If anyone says R-12 is better than 134-A they don't have a clue as to how to set the system up to work properly. + the cost is a lot less and you can do it yourself.
