Great project! Looks like your off to a good start with disc brakes. And it has a 71-72 gas pedal.

Re: My 69 K20

Thank you!! Just picked up some patch panels, cab corners, cab mounts, and they only had one rocker have to wait for them to get more in. Still need the patch panel for above the windshield in the cab and the rear cab mounts. As soon as i get the parts i need i will be getting the cab soda blasted.

Re: My 69 K20

I have a couple questions. I want to put a 89-98 Z71 stepside bed on my truck but it looks like they only come in short bed am i wrong? If they do its fine ill cut it and extend it. and for my rear axle its 8 lug 3/4 ton i think, do they have a disc brake conversion for it?

i found a conversion kit for our rear brakes to make them disc but it runs about $1000 but i found some plates on ebay for conversion a cheaper way.. not sure if its a good idea or how it work but not a bad idea to look at.

not sure what im doing about the conversion yet,

good luck, let me know if you figure something out.

Re: My 69 K20

A little update, started sand blasting a few things, lift blocks, hinges, leafs etc.. One problem when i took apart the leafs i found one leaf was broken in half. Other than that my father let me practice welding, very easy to learn.

Re: My 69 K20

Still very slow moving. My father and i are very busy.. But we pulled the steering column, radiator, rad support. Cut off what was left on the passenger rocker, cut off passenger cab corner. Waiting on some more patch panels and i also think my best bet will be to do a complete floor. Theres just to much rust and this floors been patched. I just have to call around and get some prices.
