Total newb question
Ok so I got a new to me 79 k10 it has manual looking hubs and a np203 with what I hope is a part time kit installed. Question 1 is how do I know it's got a part time kit and 2 how do I use the 4x4 it's in high with the hubs unlocked right now do I just lock the hubs and use hi loc ?

Ok so I can do rear wheel only doughnuts in hi and hubs locked high loc I can climb up thing lo and low loc I go up any thing so I figure hi is normal 2 wheel driving. And all others are 4x

You will know it has a part time kit because if you unlock the hubs and put the transfer case in 4hi without a part time kit the truck will not move. In normal driving you use 4hi or 4lo. 4hi loc and 4lo loc are for offroad only.

So I leave it in high as I drive when in park the front drive shaft will doing by hand. I lock the hubs and put in hi loc I can go pretty much any where lo seems just slower and lo loc I can go anywhere I'm pretty sure I can drive up a wall if I could get te rubber on it so with a part time kit hi and low are two wheel gears and hi lock and lo loc are four wheel ? Sorry for the newb questions I've never delt with full time cases or 203s
