Can I mount my air tank and valves under the hood??

I've been searching and I can't find any air ride setups mounted under the hood. On most cars this wouldn't be possible but under the hood of my GMC is a lot of empty space. I would like to have the compressor and valves shielded from the elements and mounting it all under the bed seems like the worst place to put it all.

Any thoughts? Too much heat under the hood? I'm hopefully ordering all my air ride from AVS next week. I'm just trying to plan things out in advance.

you're in Canada ... it doesn't get hot up there, so no worries, eh?

Just kidding... I know some jeep guys that have the compressor under the hood. An aluminum tank would help with rust issues (condensation) as temperatures change. As long as you keep the valve components away from exhaust parts, I dont think it would be an issue.

I wish I could see some pictures of under hood installs. Ive never seen one. There is so much room under my hood its not even funny.

Im in southern Canada near the border, It still gets hot up here in the summer months... In July and august it will be 100-105F most days.
