68' Shortbed need a value

Observed a 68' Chevy shortbed sitting a dealer's lot. It's a large dealership, not a corner lot with a few vehicles. Wife wouldn't let stop and get a close look but from a distance it looked good but will need a paint job. Called the dealer and had to talk to 5 different people before someone realized what vehicle I was talking about. It has a 350, power steering and brakes, without air. About what do you think it's worth? Probably going tomorrow to look and maybe make an offer. Thanks

Re: 68' Shortbed need a value

Wish I did have more info at his time. I've bought three 71's over the past years but never any 68's and am not real familiar with the market. I will do an inspection on it tomorrow and get back to you guys. Was just trying to get a general area of value.

Re: 68' Shortbed need a value

If its in good shape body wise and runs its worth 3 to 4k, a really nice one could be twice that or more.
You have been there done that so its the same as the other years. Maybe if its an anv a little more.
