Global West Suspension for C-10's
Has anyone seen this:
http://www.globalwest.net/c-10-chevy...obal-west.html Complete front and rear suspension system with Coil Over shocks for 63-72 C-10 trucks. Uses the stock spindle and steering box up front, the rear has a Watts link to center the rear end. The pictures look cool, but the price for the front seems high compared to Porterbuilt and No Limit. Again more cool options for us with C-10's!!

Kinda cool.
Retains the stock steering. I wonder if you gain any ground clearance?

Re: Global West Suspension for C-10's
From their page,...
Global West’s new C-10 Classic Truck front suspension is simple to install and provides handling, tune ability, and lowers the ride height while still providing suspension travel. The new system directly replaces the stock cross member, upper and lower control arms, sway bar, and fixes any bump steer issues you may have had before. The stock spindles are retained and Global West provides aluminum steering knuckle arms in the kit that zero bump the steering geometry. Note: If dropped spindles are used, bump steer will have to be reset. The steering box (power or manual) and linkage is retained reducing costs and also frame modifications. Installation is a bolt on. That means no welding is necessary, hand tools will get the job done. Tubular Upper Control Arms: The upper control arms are built out of 1.125 DOM tubing. Each tube is CNC mandril bent and precisely notched to welding jigs. The upper control arm provides 6 degrees positive caster and produces negative camber gain for superior handling and stability. The upper control arms are powder coated black and pre-assembled with Global West’s Del-a-lum bushings and offset control arm shafts.

Yeah, we saw this about a month ago in an advertisement in Street Rodder Magazine. Would have really liked to share that info then, but we were getting ready to release our own G-TR Rear Coilover kit.

Re: Global West Suspension for C-10's
That does not look like a C10 spindle...

The spindle in the pic is an A-body (chevelle) spindle

Re: Global West Suspension for C-10's
To me that spindle looks just like the ones on my drum brakes from my '65 C-10. The info does not really say which stock spindle the kit uses...

Gearbox, where is Sturgis are you located. I have not been up there in awhile, but use to travel up there to visit Burr Oak Tool when I worked in the HVAC industry. Still have some freinds there. Do you ever eat at a steak place called Bill's (i think thats the name)...?

Re: Global West Suspension for C-10's
Interesting, I have worked with Brian, Mike Freisner, Rocky, Mark Hurley, Kevin Oldenberg, Gary DeJarnatt, Joe Millard and others, that I cannot think off right now. Tell them Karl Kuenemann from AAON Coil Products said hello.
I now work for Joy Global in the Loader Products group for the Surface Mining industry.

Re: Global West Suspension for C-10's
As of Christmas 2012 I have received this suspension. I have not got to play with it yet due to school, Its going on a 1970 c10 step side that I am recreating with my dad, I have not received much info on it yet due to my studies which keep me away. First impression was nice, packaged well and everything arrived in good condition. Ill take photos of it when i get back home in a couple days. Its going to be a while before its on the truck but when i do i will be sure to make comments. I havent seen a test run or a video if any sort with a truck using it, but we do have global west products on my brothers monte carlo and the car is all the better for it, running almost 10 years, still looks brand new.
