New Parts. More Needed

Me and my dad are still working on our truck. We got a few new parts in yesterday! Lots of fun!
Still needing a dash Pad. Not a cover.
Hoping a vendor might chime in...
Enjoying our truck and this forum!

Thanks!
It's been fun.
How does a guy find out if a vendor on this site might have dash pad for sale?

Does anyone actually sell the correctly embossed silverado panels so that you can put the factory cushioning in the door? It goes right above the armrest.

Also what is going to prevent that same old factory defect of those chrome door strap trim pieces, coming off?

Re: New Parts. More Needed

We want it to have an original look inside.
It had that very strange two-toned red :-/
I would love to buy from a vendor from here.
This forum has been so helpful.

Re: New Parts. More Needed

SkunkSmash, you are taking this a touch more serious than me and my elderly father who has been my partner in putting a truck back together that has been in our family since new. It's been a lot of FUN for us and that is exactly what we were looking for.
Thanks for the lesson. You learn something every day!
Oh and to clear up any confusion... I said we would Kind of like it to "LOOK" factory. Didn't say would "BE" factory

Re: New Parts. More Needed

Oh. Well for the best dash I've seen so far, other than the leftover OEM GM ones, look here:

http://www.classicparts.com/default.asp

They have a vinyl over foam one, just like the factory. Already colored. There are some dash replacements out there to watch stay away from. One is a giant blob of saggy urethane. I've seen them around, they always say "urethane" in the description. The others are those glue on skins, like coverlay. Those also have their flaws. Some of them will have weird indentations in odd places. Also your dash needs to be very close to its original shape or they won't be able to cover it very well. I've tried pretty much everything out there.

Also, where did you buy your door panel and door carpet from?
