Need picture of LWB 4wd on 73 & newer frame
Looking for a picture of a LWB 64-66 on a 73 & up drive train.
I have read up on the swap & realize there is a 2-3 in. difference to be made up for in the front. I am starting a build of a 4wd for a pulling truck & was hoping to use parts I already have vs. buying more that I don't have. I don't have a 60's 4wd frame to work with at this point. |

Re: Need picture of LWB 4wd on 73 & newer frame
Thanks. I have been searching the forum & saw a few pictures, but usually they are too far away to see how the wheel base difference is compensated for.
I am planning for a 4x4. I don't have a 4x4 frame from a 64-66. I have several 73 & up 4x4 frames. |

Re: Need picture of LWB 4wd on 73 & newer frame
why not just use your orig frame and put the other suspension under it. at least you will still have the proper frame ser #. if you make it a 4 x 4 your still going to have to rergister it as a 4 x 4

I am not worried at all about how to register the truck when I am done. Montana is pretty relaxed on bonded titles. |

Re: Need picture of LWB 4wd on 73 & newer frame
I see... I looked at the thread, interesting, but more work than I am willing to do at this time.
I picked up a 67 4wd frame today & I located a 64 4wd w/ cab & bed for parts, so I think I will use one or the other. Thanks for the help. |
