1972 gmc brake master cylinder replace
Hi,
I have a 1972 GMC 1500 Super Custom. I have a new master cylinder to replace on it, and was wondering if theres anything special i need to do in order to do it the right way. Thanks |

Welcome to the board Loveland! I spent a lot of time there with my Grandparents. I LOVED that place!!
The only thing to remember is to bench bleed the master cylinder and then bleed all 4 wheels after you've got the MC installed.

first welcome to the board from Texas..now it is better to bench bleed the new m/c before you put it on, most new and rebuilt m/c come with two clear hoses in the box, just put it in a vice and use a rod or big screw driver and put the hoses in the brake line holes and snug them up. then fill it up with fluid and push real hard with the screw driver in the back of the m/c rod hole until the air is out of the fluid coming out of the two clear tubes. this will take several pumps in and out, hope this helps.
