cab question...
Going to do a 68 front clip, frame, swb but can I use a 72 cab and just bolt everything up just like I was using a 68 cab? This has always had me so confused because I look at them both and can not tell a difference besides the 72 came with brake booster and the 68 didnt.
Thank you. |

Re: cab question...
Good question, I have a 72 SWB step and would like to put a 68 clip on as well.

Re: cab question...
Yes you can do it ... But if you use after market panels , it could be
a lot of work to make the new parts , hood - fenders line up ... also you need to change the radiator core support (front grill )... here is a pic of my 72 GMC with 68 clip ... also look at this thread very interesting ... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=262840&page=8

Re: cab question...
The front clip is all original gm parts the only thing I'm using repop on is like nuts and bolts! The 68 cab is rotted like crazy but I also have a 72 that only needs minor work but I wasn't sure if original gm panels would all line up fairly well.
Thank you for the help rkintn! Posted via Mobile Device |
