Who sells the best moldings?

I received a email from Early Classics, they have 10% sale now and I need a lot of moldings for my 68.. Need to know if their molding and bumpers are as good as every other merchants?

TIA

Re: Who sells the best moldings?

MAR-K in Oklahoma City makes their own mouldings with the exception of one or two pieces (that was for my 71). It is of much higher quality than some of the other stuff Ive seen like from LMC from overseas. I got mine from Brothers and it was cheaper than buying direct from MAR-K. It was recommended from a fellow board member who is doing the P/B on my 71.

Re: Who sells the best moldings?

I'll give another thumbs up to MAR-K. After collecting NOS lower trim I decided to sell it and get MAR-K. Side by side I could not see any difference, in fact the paint is much better on the MAR-K pieces.

Re: Who sells the best moldings?

I like the Mar-K trim. I have seen it on a board members truck. His has the lower black trim.
if you have woodgrain trim on your truck I'm not sure any of the repop companies reproduce the same woodgrain pattern as the OEM.

I have had good luck with the Mar-K products myself, top notch quality.

Question for you though, did ECE give you a code to get the 10% off?

Re: Who sells the best moldings?

Mar-K all the way! Paid 1000 for all the woodgrain and upper trim for my 72. Fit was a perfect fit to the factory holes.

So how close is the reproduction woodgrain? Anyone have a side by side picture compared to N.O.S.? Full size would be great!

Re: Who sells the best moldings?

Ok, Mar k for trim.

Who has the best sheet metal? I need bedsides and see that classics industries is running 20 % off which makes pricing very attractive.

Re: Who sells the best moldings?

all this molding is WAY overpriced for what it is, especially on the 69-72's. Stamped out sheet metal strips and they cost $1100? Seriosuly? Out of all the reproduction parts, I find the side moldings to be one of the most ridiculously priced. If someone in the USA could reproduce them (quality fit and finish) at a realistic price, they would make a killing.

Re: Who sells the best moldings?

everyone expects to pay a premium for U.S. made parts and i imagine a few companys use this to their advantage.

i dont think Mar-k is overpriced when compared to the chinese stuff.
