Tempered AD Window Glass?
I was just wondering if anyone knows a source that sells tempered glass for the ad trucks, I would be interested in locating a back window and door glass without vent windows. It seems that all the suppliers only carry laminated glass, gasket exchange does have some patterns of the glass, but I just wanted to see if someone has them in stock before getting some cut and tempered, thanks.

Re: Tempered AD Window Glass?
For the one piece door glass I would recommend making a hardboard template the same thickness to mock it up. I found I had to modify the template I got slightly if I had just ordered the glass it would not have fit right. Also most guys have found local sourcing is cheaper and has better accountability.

Auto City Classics, has been a good source for all classic glass and they pretty easy to deal with. www.autocityclassic.com

Re: Tempered AD Window Glass?
If you have the old glass for a pattern there should be a local glass shop that can cut the glass and send it off to be tempered. That is what one of the glass shops here locally has been doing for some of us.

Re: Tempered AD Window Glass?
Thanks for the suggestions, so I assume that there are no ready made tempered glass suppliers of AD windows out there. A while back a few pieces were bought from a local truck shop, but I was not that satisfied with the clarity and edge finish of the laminated glass. Then the thoughts of getting some cut and tempered came along, until this truck came along, and it might be possible that there is an off the shelf option. Thanks for the responses.

Re: Tempered AD Window Glass?
The LMC catalog doesn't distinguish if the glass is laminated or tempered so I would imagine that it is laminated. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/ca/full.aspx?Page=15
