Windshield wipers move in reverse

Guys and Gals,

I just finished wiring up my 72 c10 and started checking everything. My wiper blades are stoping on the up position now. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Re: Windshield wipers move in reverse

I figured it out. I just turned it on and kept staring until I realized that all I had to do was reverse the position of the swing arm while it is off.

Just curious... Did you have the windshield wiper linkage disconnected prior to the problem? Mechanically it should have stayed the same after rewiring. I guess I'm not sure what you did to fix it.

I'm with you. I would think if he put the arms in the correct position with the motor linkage stopped at the top, it's gonna drive em into the cowl panel when turned on. Please help us understand techs.

Re: Windshield wipers move in reverse

I had to remove the arms to trouble shoot the motor so i didn't know what position the arms stopped in. I knew there might be a problem so i waited to put the blades back on.
