Re: Quick bolt size question!!

Let them soak over night with some good pent oil or warm them up with the heat wrench

Put a length of pipe on that breaker bar handle to extend out from under truck and stand/bounce up and down on it.

Re: Quick bolt size question!!

Yep. Heat wrench, cheater bar, and patience should do the trick. If that fails split the nut. Use a cut-off wheel to cut a notch into the nut, being careful not to go too deep and damage the threads. Then use a chisel and hammer to open up the nut

Re: Quick bolt size question!!

If I do end up cutting the nuts/u-bolts, who sells them so that I can buy new ones?

Re: Quick bolt size question!!

Hmm not sure I've ever been to a spring shop. Haha. Anyone else have any recommendations? Shouldn't a local parts store like Autozone or oreillys carry these in stock? Seems like 12 bolts are in so many vehicles they should..
