Dana 44 pinion bearing

I have my differential torn apart and I figured that I should replace the pinion bearings while I'm in there. Is the inner bearing press fit or am I doing something wrong?

Re: Dana 44 pinion bearing

Yes, the inner pinion bearing is tight and can be a pain to remove. Some have an oil slinger under them and they get torn up during bearing removal.
